Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Climbing Arborist to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will perform a range of arboricultural tasks, including climbing, pruning, and tree removal, in accordance with Australian industry standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Key Duties
- Climb trees using rope and harness systems to perform pruning and removal work
- Carry out tree pruning, shaping, and maintenance in line with arboricultural standards
- Undertake sectional dismantling and complex tree removals
- Perform rigging operations for controlled branch and tree removal
- Operate Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) and associated equipment safely
- Identify workplace hazards and follow WHS procedures at all times
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working order
- Work both independently and as part of a team to complete scheduled works efficiently
Minimum Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant full-time, post-qualification experience as a Climbing Arborist
- Certificate III in Arboriculture (AHC30820) or equivalent qualification
- Valid Australian driver’s licence (Class C or equivalent)
- Proven skills in rope access climbing, rigging, and safe tree work practices
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual outdoor work
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety
Employment Conditions
- Full-time, permanent position (minimum 38 hours per week)
- Annual salary: AUD $73,150 – $120,000 plus superannuation (commensurate with experience)
- Paid leave entitlements in accordance with the National Employment Standards
- Work is primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as required

EWP/Grounds Person
This is a leading hand role. In addition to general ground work it requires the ability to prune and shape from the ground and using a EWP. It includes transporting the EWP on a trailer between jobs.
